K so i know this post could technically fall under air or water cooling category but i wanted to put it here since im not specifically asking about one of those in general.

So i was able to frankenstein my Asrock P55de3 back into functioning so i have my i7 860 running again. Unfortunatly only have 3 of the posts on the stock fan as the 4th one snapped off after rigging it on a socket 775 cpu for awhile. here is my current temps with 3 pins and the case laying flat. So its staying relatively cool but i would feel more comfortable having all 4 posts secured to the MB. Im looking for a lower cost Aftermarket Fan as im not really that familair with low end ones i mean heck stuff starts at like 7 bucks but i dont want something that will perform worse then the stock cooler.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Go with one of these, price/performance is unreachable:

They Hyper 212 EVO is obviously better, but also more expensive. The TX3 would do fine though. So it just comes down to what you want to spend.

Thanks yeah im trying to get out of this as cheap as possible as more then likely the board. HDD and ram will short out soon ROFL.

This thing is frankenstiend together with parts that are up to 10 years old..... using 3 different types of fans and a case that the wires are screwed up in. doing the screwdriver to the header start up button.
