So i've had my video card for awhile now and its started to accumulate a layer of dust on the PCB, my plans are to buy a paint brush and clean it that way. My question is will i have to worry about anti static, and the material that the brush hairs are made of. Would using an animal haired brush be a safer method of cleaning electrical components with?

There shouldn't be problems with using a paint brush just as long as it is not synthetic. Animal haired would be safer imo so go with that and use an air can as well. Wait for it the card to cool down though cause dust tends to stick to the PCB when it's hot.

Alcohol [Meths -> get at supermarket] + Q-Tips work fine for hard to reach spots.

Wouldn't it have to have a high level of Alcohol percentage, for evaporation. I have arcti-clean which i use to clean thermal compound of the CPU that could work.
