No post, plz help

ive got a problem with a laptop of my parants, ive never had this problem before so i dont know what to do, the laptop has a

 

no post problem when you start it up nothing comes up on the screen

 

the lights all light up like the power and that but no post if there is someone out there who can help that would be great thanks...

Hi, sorry you are having trouble..could you provide the brand and model of the laptop..?

So you see the HDD LED light up..flash..then go out..or NO HDD LED at all..?

Do you hear the fan spin up and continue ..?

Do you see a LED on a CD/DVD drive come on and stay on..?

If you have a separate monitor..could you plug it into your lap top..?..IF so..what happens when you boot the laptop.?

Your best effort is the easiest thing to give to someone else..

try and  take out the battery and press the power button for 40-45 seconds then reattach the battery and plug in the power cord ,then try and start it .

read  some where this may work.

check and see if you can get into the bios

i thinks its ..     f12 if you have a asus g73jw
