Hey, I've been a sub to linustechtips for awhile now, but first time trying the forum out so if I posted this in the wrong section, please don't be to hard on me :)?

Anyway, I sleep with my window open at this time of the year, only way I can get my room cool. My problem is that my monitors( also speakers from time to time) have this small little light. Red, green, yellow depending on signal, on/off etc. These lights are both annoying for me, as well as they attract mosquitos and other annoying insects. This is a pain.

So my question was, anybody solved this problem?. Is there any way you can get your monitors to turn off the light?.

I was thinking putting some kind of tape to cover it up, but I don't want my monitors to get all sticky :S

I mustn't be the only one with this problem?, I'd be glad to hear if anybody else has an idea, or have solved this problem.

Any help appreatiated :)

Use electrical tape. It's black so it's not as noticeable, and isn't very strong.  Get screens for your windows.

If the electrical tape does leave residue, use goo gone or peanut butter and water. (May leave peanut butter smell)
