Is the only difference between the RAT7 and the RAT9 that the RAT9 is wireless? Also, any RAT9 owners out there, do you guys like the mouse. I currently have the RAT7 and I want to upgrade to a wireless mouse.

Yes, the difference is just that the 9 is wireless, but it has such a short battery life that I'd get something like a Logitech G602. Or maybe spend the money on a nice mouse pad and a mouse bungee to help with the cable getting caught on things if you stick with the Rat 7

I have the RAT7 and its a nightmare.

The metal bits that are exposed (screws mostly) rust and corrode away to the point where you cant use the provided wrench key to unlock them. The plastic used on the black parts of the mouse get dirty very easily and peel away. The bottom is not well optimized for mouse pads as it tears up material and catches pretty much any surface its run on.

Worst of all, the software used to customize it is impossible to find. I recently started playing Fallout 3 and found it isnt well optimized for high DPI mice. I went to try to lower the DPI of my mouse and realized I didnt have the software from the company to do this, but when trying to find this software its no where to be found. All links on their website are broken or don't install.

This mouse is crap. Get something from logitech or razer and save yourself the hassle of dealing with madcatz
