Asus PB238Q

TheZerg93

Hi guys.

These days I looked for the best 23" monitor with a budget of about 200 €. The primary use is for working with 3d programs like Autodesk Maya, but I also want connect it with my ps3 through HDMI. I found the Asus PB238Q really good, but I dont understand the differences with the Asus PA238Q. What u say guys? Which is better? Or do you know any better monitor?

Thanks, and sorry for my bad english :)

So the pb278q has a resolution of 2560x1440. The pa238q has "only" a resolution of 1920x1080, but it is a pro art series, so it`s precalibrated and you will get a better colour reproduction on it.

I hope i could help ;)

Andi,

Zerg is talking about two 23" monitors. Asus expanded the PB line with a 23" fairly recently.

I believe that the PB238Q is pretty much just the 2nd generation of the PA, both should have the full suite of ASUS professional features, if it's all the same I'd probably go with the newer model.

As far as I'm aware the only time there was a significant discrepancy in spec was between the PA246q and PA248q, where the 246 had significantly more colours and I think required firepro or quaddro graphics to display all of them. It was also significantly more expensive though.

Ok, thank you guys! And do you know any other monitor that could be better than the PB238Q one?? If not, I will probably buy this one.

Not at the 200 mark,

I've got the PA238QR and it's absolutely gorgeous, blows my year old samsung out of the water in every way.

The PB series is just an updated version of the PA series. Their is not much of a difference other than some people have had bleeding problems on the PA's that have been dealt with on the PB's. Plus the PB's are cheaper now because they are still producing them, unlike the PA's.
