So i was planning to get the new Swiftech pre-done water, and i am also planning to get he RV-02 Raven by Silverstone as my case, The only way i can place the cooler is the rad at the bottom of the case, does this matter? I know you should always have the Res above the pump, so i was not sure if this applied to pre-done water coolers/

This doesn't apply to pre-done water-coolers but the H220 is an exception as it is actually re-fillable and does contain a resevoir.

If no-one can give you a definite answer by tomorrow I will contact Swiftech on your behalf and find out.

A good guess from me would be that as long as the fill port is facing upwards it should be fine because the bubbles will float to the top of the reservoir. An issue would be; as the waterblock/pump combo unit is the highest point in your loop when the cooler is off the bubbles may settle there and it would be quite noisy starting up.

Feel free to PM for any water-cooling questions. Check out my profile for more ways to contact me.

this will be a problem. the reservoir is a buffer for the air to collect and be removed

from the loop. placing it lower than the pump will actually allow the air to collect in

the pump (not good from other accounts). others have had to bleed the air from

the system by cycling the pump and rpm of the pump. i believe one or two have

already damaged the pumps.

only way i can see to mount lower than pump is to use a T-Line from reservoir inlet

to allow the air to collect there, but the system will have to be tilted and cycled to

allow all the air to collect in the T-Line.
