No boot/video output

Hey there,

I just build my first pc (CPU: AMD Athlon 2 x4 750k MOBO: Asus A55BM-E RAM: Corsair Value Select 1x4 PSU: Cooler Master B 500W CASE: Fractal Design Core 1000 GPU: Club3D radeon r7 260x) 

When i turn the system on the fans of the gpu,cpu and case start spinning (does this mean nothings broke?) but there is no boot or anything on the screen and after a while it shuts off, any ideas??? Thanks in advance

That could be anything that could cause that. Try clearing the CMOS and remove anything that is unnecessary to get the PC to turn on.

Do you have the monitor plugged into the graphics card and not the motherboard? Is your CPU power plugged in?

i just had a similar problem when i put a second ssd in my rig, it turned out that for some reason the power cable going to that ssd was the problem. when i unplugged the ssd from the motherboard it didn't help but once i removed the power cable from it it would boot fine. i ended up just running another power cable to it

i hope that fixes your problem but the chances are probably slim

my cpu works fine i think, i touched the heatsink (pc was off) and it was warm to the touch, i'm worried about the gpu tho, there is no output and the copper heathpipes were cold, the fans spin tho, i'm going clear the CMOS now.

I had a very similar thing happen to me when I built my first PC, and it was because I didn't fully seat my RAM into the slots. It takes a lot of force to get them seated correctly, make sure the tabs on each side of the RAM are clipped over the small part of the PCB that sticks outs. If not, just push until it clicks into place.

tried the cmos and thing the ram thing, any other ideas??
