Has anybody ever built their own test bench?

If so did you encounter any problems? I'm making mine tomorrow and would like to know any problems that are likely to occur.

If you have your own test bed post pictures please, would like to see what other people are working with.

I've seen two people make test benches on this forum though one I wouldn't really call a bench. The first was a testbench made for about $2 or something by GFchubbs and the second was this made with KNex. I can't find the $2 test bench though since the migration to IPB.

I see no re issues that would occur as long as you just space things adequately and get the board standoffs done right.

That's my next plan for a computer case.  There is so many options for computer cases these days and it is hard to choose, but there are limited options for what I want in a case.  I want to make the test bench to be modular, where I can position and rotate pretty much everything.  So, I want a skeleton frame test bench with rails.  I saw a case that you could move the mounting holes for the motherboard, I think there were about three plates with holes that were placed.  Most test benches are placed flat on a desk or the floor, I want to be able to push the motherboard tray, so that it is like a tower set up.  Also, with the motherboard that can rotate, like in the Silverstone fortress, where the back I/O panel is actually on top of the tower.  I could also rotate the motherboard, so that the I/O back is on the bottom or on the front.  I never seen this on a computer case because I think most people have there computers in a shelf or on floor anyways, but I would like to rotate the 5.25" drive cage to face to the left or right.  There are so many options that computer do have that I like, but there are a number that I don't see or do see, but the cases are too much.
