Mobo problems

My GA-X79-UD3 will not pass the screen that lets you enter the bios and boot menu, when you first stat the computer.  I have already tried clearing the simos, checked all the connections and have no idea what else to do.  But it has also given me problems with sleep mode, where on wake up it will just begin to cycle on and off until i have to unplug it from the wall.  any help would be much appreciated?

Try this: take the battery out and put it in again (EDIT: this will reset the BIOS)

Than it's a software fault, reinstalling Windows isn't an option?  :unsure:

No I think you were right.  It decided to work after I restarted it again after i did what you said.
