I signed up for a contest to win a G3, from this facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LGUSAMobile/timeline

Well now I got an email saying I won, but it just doesn't seem right...

It's from charlene@ussweeps.com

Now, I really would like to have $600 phone to sell, as I'm going to college and this would come in handy to sell. However, this "Vice president Charlene" is not the vice president of the company. I'm pretty sure ussweeps.com is legit, and on that sites staff, the vice president is a dude, with completely different name. Plus, why would the vice president email me. General if a email is automated, it says somewhere in the message. Also, there are typos that I would think a legitimate business wouldn't put in an email like this. Also, if I'm reading the sender info right, this email came from California, and the real company is located in Rochester, NY. Honestly, the only reason I'm asking is because the prize is worth a lot, otherwise I would just dismiss it as a scam already.

Also, here is another email I was sent:

Hi -------, I just wanted to make sure you received my email from Monday in reference to your entry in LG G3 is Here Sweepstakes. As a reminder your paperwork is due in our office Monday, July 28, 2014. If you could verify that you received the notice and when you anticipate returning the paperwork I would appreciate it. Have a nice day!Charlene

Sorry if I'm wasting time on this. :/ Just the cash would really help me out lol.

Kind of, since the lady who emailed you works for a different sweepstakes website

I would try to have some sort of contact with her first before submitting information. Email her saying thank you for announcing you as the winner and ask a few questions regarding the competition such as taxes or shipping to stall for some time and replies before actually giving out your info. Give yourself some more room to see if it's legit. Alternatively you could give them a call.
