No 1150 is the new and upcoming standard for the Intel side.  Z87 is the new chipset which is paired with Haswell and Haswell only as far as the public knows.

While we're on the topic, does anyone know what the standard RAM speed is going to be on the Z87 boards? I've been assuming it's going to be 1600MHz like it is now. Would I be correct in that assumption?

It's still DDR3, so it's pretty much the same as Zed77, but yeah I'm guessing that will be the standard although 1333 will still be used.

It'll probably remain the same as Z77, but motherboard manufacturers will probably keep pushing the support for higher frequency memory on their boards.

Nop, Z87 will be socket 1150, but the mounting holes will remain the same as 1156 and 1155.
