QuickSync for Media Player Codec Pack

Hi guys, I just finished installing Media Player Codec Pack so that I can play mkv files using Windows Media Player. The setup is asking me if I want to use my CPU for h.264/x624 and VC-1, or whether I want to use QuickSync or DXVA. I have no idea what this means so I'd appreciate some help. Thanks :)

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
