Gamepad Vs Keyboard?

Ask yourself if you really want quarter of a keyboard with a fancy layout (the Orbweaver) that you only use for gaming, or a proper keyboard (Quickfire) that does pretty much everything the Orbweaver does and also works outside of games.

 

My own opinion is to get a proper keyboard first, then get fancy gaming peripherals after.

I want to get either the CM storm blue TKL with blue backlighting or The razer orbweaver. The orbweaver is 20 bucks cheaper and i already have a decent non mechanical key board, wich should i get? PS im not a typist.

I'd recommend going to a PC store to try out a keypad before you buy one (all the Best Buys in my area have a small Razer/Logitech display with keypads/keyboards/mice/headsets out).. Personally, I find keypads like the Orbweaver to be a bit uncomfortable with my small hands and how I generally grip my keyboard..

 

That being said, if you're already perfectly satisfied with your current keyboard, then a keypad may be a good choice.

Why would you want a tenkeyless? I think they're essential for a computer.

 

It's all personal preference.. I use my numpad very rarely, and I prefer my hands to be closer together. For me, a numpad is just a waste of space that forces me to hold my arms farther apart than what I'd generally like, which feels a bit awkward.

(of course, when I do need to type out a bunch of numbers, the numpad is greatly appreciated)

If you already have another keyboard you like using maybe the Orbweaver. I'd like to try one myself if I had the money sitting around, but looks like a very comfortable gaming experience.
