SteamOS Setup help please.

So I just recently installed Ubuntu to my external USB 3 Hard drive, and I've been playing around with it, I quite like it (just starting getting into Linux) and I want to try and install the SteamOS beta onto this same harddrive, However I can't find any coherent instructions on how to do this (if your a complete novice at linux that is).

 

My system meets all the specifications and requirements for the SteamOS beta, and I have unplugged my primary windows OS drive, and my secondary storage drive (because from what I've read, the SteamOS beta likes to wipe drives and can't be partitioned)

 

So, can anyone help me with getting the SteamOS beta going on my machine? I'm bored and school doesn't start for another month so I want something to fiddle with.

 

P.S. Linus should do a video on Installing the SteamOS Beta
