Would air cooling on the H440 default fans be a good idea?

darth_bubbles

The default fans are 3 x 120mm FN V2 Fans and 1 x 140mm FN V2 Fan.

Is that enough? I will not be overclocking until I buy a watercooler for my CPU. That's why I don't want to buy more fans, because my next purchase will be a CPU watercooler. Thanks!

wait a minute. I could just get a watercooler for the CPU right away. What one should I use? Not over $90 please

You'll give your computer some issues but you can do it :P  if it starts to heat up don't be afraid to take the sidepanel or Front facade off.

I realised that if I'm going to buy a cpu aircooler in the first place, I might as well just get a watercooler instead. What one should I use?

It will be fine but I'd personally stick at least one fan in the top to exhaust hot air, otherwise the air just lingers as there is such a small gap to escape from.

I switched back to stock fans (from Aerocools 3x in front and 2 x top exhausts and 1 x rear exhaust) in my h440 today whilst I await the arrival of some new fans (3 in front, 1 in back). Temps increased by approximately 6 degrees on load. Idle was only a couple degrees hotter, but over the course of the day that too became 5-6 degrees hotter; th hot air, once its there, doesn't shift out quick enough. As above, you need more exhaust than provided as stock for decent cooling.

I air cool on my h440, and temps are fine. CPU never goes above 65 degrees and GPU never surpasses 80 degrees
