1. Will you do video editing/rendering as well? if then then the CPU and the RAM is too overkill

2. For under 150$ the best GPU is probably the R7 265 or GTX 750ti

3. You might want to look at the PSU, that's a value series, I suggest picking better PSU should you OC

I m not big fans of games but occasionally I like to play street fighter, NFS etc

I am into Microsoft Sharepoint development. Sharepoint 2013 needs good amount of RAM and good processing unit.

Keeping above in mind I bought these components.

Do you think Z87 Pro is not worth with 4770K keeping in mind I do not have to upgrade for 3-4 years.

I may overclock may be dont know.

I am feeling low now because I had already received these components and you guys have voted against the build :(

Thanks for the suggestion btw but I have to live with this build now.

Please share your views.

Edit: Please suggest the amount of VRAM should I be looking for in GTX 750ti or R7 265

Thanks in advance.

I would not overclock but somebody has suggested me to take  "Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO" for OC with "4770K".

He told me hat I can reach 4.5 Ghz with this cooler and the PSU. Do you think the cooler would be able to keep the processor temp under control.

I have also ordered "Cooler Master HAF 912 Combat Transparent Side Panel Mid Tower Cabinet". Would this be of any help in keeping the temp under control.

Thanks.

@Phoenix70

I am confused now. I do render the code sometimes and sometimes play games, so what should be the VRAM and the GPU I should go for.

Get the 2GB version, you never know when you need it

OK here is my complete build:-

Motherboard: ASUS Z87- PRO

CPU : Intel 3.5 GHz LGA1150 4770K i7 4th Generation Processor

PSU:Corsair VS650 650 Watt PSU

Cooler:Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

RAM: 4X4 GB Corsair 1600 MHZ

GPU : MSI AMD/ATI R7 265 2GD5 OC 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Cabinet:Cooler Master HAF 912 Combat Transparent Side Panel Mid Tower Cabinet

Please rate it.

My only worry is whether I have to upgrade again within a year or the setup would go for many years.

Thanks

Mike

Few suggestion here

1. Go for 16 (2x8) GB will give you more upgrade room than 4x4

2. Get a better PSU, that one is not viable for your rig

The only thing you will need to upgrade in the future is probably the GPU

a good gpu for under $150, are you just doing mainly workstation stuff. maybe you could get an i5 cpu and put a bit more towards a better graphics card with 2, 3 or 4 gig onboard ram.

got to love Asus components
