Help! Is my current psu enough?

Hi guys,

I am looking for an Cpu and graphics upgrade. Not sure if my existing psu can support the new parts:

New processor: i5 3470

New graphics card: Sapphire vapor-x r9 280x

My current system is powered by a seasonic-x 520 watts psu 80+ bronze.

Ram 2x 4gb, 500gb hdd, dvd writer, 5 case fans.

Sapphire website says it's 750W psu required but then I did the calculator thingy and it says only 400+ required.

So don't know if I need to upgrade my psu or not. Help anyone?

Yes it's fine, don't worry about upgrading it.

 

Sapphire will inflate the number to account for shitty Chinese unbranded PSUs that can't continuously deliver their rated wattage, yours is a good quality unit and can.
