Hey guys I recently upgrade my CPU to a A8-6600k I am wondering if after running prime95 for 10mins that the temps I am reading are correct? I dont know if i am reading it right or wrong but the package temps are really high but the CPU temp is fiine? 

 

A8-6600k stock cooler

Asus F2A85-m

12gb ram

2tb

gtx560

That is no where close to fine. A 123 degrees is just dangerous. I suggest you make sure that the cooler is attached properly, even tho is is a stock cooler the temps shouldn't be that high. Also your voltages are through the roof, I suggest going into the bios and lowering them dramatically

with prime95 off im around 70c

I tend to not use the proflies supplied by ASUS. Go into the actual settings of the bios and have a look at the voltage, try setting it to at the very most (on stock cooler) 1.25 - 1.3

cpu temps are fine the board is not tho

Temps are fine!?! Am I reading wrong?? Cause from what I see it says Current: 113 Degrees Celcius, Minimum: 53 Degrees Celcius, Maximum: 123 Degrees Celcius

Unless i'm retarded

35C is very good temp for any cpu.... I'm not sure why under the package temps are for but. it doesn't look like a normal read to me.

Oh makes sense, I was purely basing everything off the package temps.

Good to see that you got a new cpu cooler, that cooler is very good in general. In the future, try using a different temperature software. I personally use Core Temp which you can try http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

 

Thank you, I cant seem to get alcpu to read current temps?
