raid card

i would like your oppinion  because im finding it difficult to make a decision 

i have a server that will be used for work and personal usage 

the server will have 4-8 active vps's running 24/7 for testing purposes for work 

for personal use i have 10tb worth of movies songs and data on 6 2tb drives the thing im not sure on is should i get 2 raid cards 1 for work 1 for personal use or just 1 decent raid card

im on a budget and dont want to spend more than i have to so thanks in advance for your input
