Hello guys and gals. I'm trying to figure out a build for a really good friend of mine who needs a new PC and I can't figure out what would be best...
As of right now, I was thinking this and then he could upgrade the CPU later:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XJ9RYJ (He'd use my old 955 BE and a Antec 900)
Or should he go i3 and upgrade to either a i5/i7?
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/R7FYmG (He'd have to use a 270x instead...)
He has a 1080p monitor and he would use his PC for just about everything as this is going to replace his current desktop and console.

If neither of these look all that good, I'm open to suggestions....

Thanks in advance  :)

Your first idea sounds pretty good, IF he will upgrade to a FX 6300/6350 or 8320/8350. Altough I would go for this mainboard: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20

Also I would already buy a CPU Cooler.

Yeah you could even go with a 550W PSU, but I'd still take the 650W to add a bit of headroom, for example for overclocking.
