Can't uninstall drivers

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

I will recommend what I usually do. Boot into safe mode and run Driver Sweeper. This will get rid of all the files related to the driver, so there won't be any problems-

So I tried uninstalling my CCC, it seemed to work. I didn't receive the message to restart my system though. Figured it was normal, went to Software and noticed that AMD Vision Engine Control Center was there (but the Catalyst Control Center is gone). AMD site stated that there should be no AMD related software left, so tried to uninstall. This is what I get (It's in Dutch but I guess you'll understand):

Foutcode: -5004 : 0x80070005

Foutgegevens:
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1968)
PAPP:CCC2
PVENDOR:Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (http://www.amd.com)
PGUID:8B1A559A-FB9D-42F5-A8A7-2F132CF28414
$9.1.0.429
@Windows   (9200) BT_OTHER 0.72

Tried to figure what the heck was wrong, went to install location of my CCC, noticed folder was still there and everything was in it. Ran the setup, said "There are no parts installed".

What do I have to do? Simply delete the CCC folder? And how do I solve that weird error?

Edit: CCC still seems to be running under processes, and there's still a map in C:\AMD\WU-CCC2\ccc2_install and C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static.

Can I just delete the AMD-Catalyst-14.6-RC2-Windows-June23 folder? It contains the setup etc.

Already figured that out, but I can't seem to access my Safe Mode. I tried both F5 and F8, the only option I get are to choose which HDD to startup from. Or the Asus MOBO control page.

Search Windows for "System Configuration". Here you go to the tab "Boot" and check the box that says "Safe mode". Then restart the PC.

try "AMD Clean uninstall utility" from their website, clean the registry using a 3rd party application afterwards..That should do the trick

Thanks for the quick help, the new version of Driver Sweeper (Display Driver Uninstaller) did the trick. It's saddening that you have to use 3rd party software to fully uninstall drivers.
