I've been looking for a new CPU cooler for a while, seeing as my old Cooler Master Hyper N520 isn't really doing a fantastic job keeping up with the heat of my OC'd i7. (It's also very hot where I live.) I've narrowed it down to two coolers, but I'd take suggestions. The only problem is, I'd really like to replace the fans on them with the new noctua industrial PPC fans. So, here are the two options I've picked out:

Noctua NH-D14 http://www.amazon.com/Noctua-Heatpipe-Bearing-Cooler-NH-D14/dp/B002VKVZ1A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405566582&sr=8-1&keywords=Noctua+CPU+cooler

+ Great cooling

+ Great quality

- I don't really like the regular noctua fans

- Expensive if I were to replace the fans

Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK http://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-Heat-pipes-Premium-Patented-PH-TC14PE_BK/dp/B007ZZE63A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1405548335&sr=8-3&keywords=phanteks

+ Also great cooling

+ Decent Colors (Matches my mobo with black)

- Expensive if I were to replace the fans

It would be great if I could find a cooler with just the radiator and no fans, so that I could easily add the noctua industrial fans, but I haven't found a decent one yet. I'm also not too fond of water cooling; I've never had water cooling and have the fear that it would leak out and destroy my system.

Main PC:  CPU - i7-4770k @ 4.2Ghz   Motherboard - MSI MPOWER MAX   GPU - EVGA GTX 780 SC   RAM - 16GB 2400Mhz ADATA   PSU - Corsair RM 850   Storage - Intel 240GB SSD - OS : Samsung 1TB HDD - Games : WD 1TB  HDD - Other : Seagate 3TB HDD - Backup

If you are not worried about looks I would go Noctua if you are keen on an air cooler. But as you want it to match go the Phanteks as they are decent as well.

*snip*

Buying any CPU air cooler that already comes with the best fans for it and replacing these fans is just a waste of money. Your best option would be to get a good heatsink. FrostyTech has reviewed this one. It comes with fan clips for 2 120mm fans. http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=2700&page=5  This with two Noctua IPPC's?

This is another good option. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Deepcool/Lucifer/ $50, You could put two 140mm IPPC's on it.

I would like to see more on this one, it looks amazing and by a few reviews the temps are good. I can't seem to find a place to buy it though.

I think Newegg is the only place that sold them in the US but they're out of stock now, as is Amazon. Which sucks.
