Hi, occasionally, very occasionally, my monitor flickers black for about a second or two and then returns to normal.

It's starting to really bother me and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I use HDMI amd have tried using a different lead.

I have a feeling it may be to do with the power. I have a desktop fan plugged in to the same extension lead and when I turn it on, it causes the black out. Also when I'm playing an intensive game, the same thing happens. Can anyone confirm this? I use a bog slandered 4 plug extension lead with my PC, monitor, speakers and fan plugged in to.

I had that exact same problem months ago, I searched everywhere for solutions but I never found one and eventually I just forgot about it, it doesn't seem to do it anymore, I'm not sure what I did for what update cured it.

However I can tell you that I have no less devices plugged in now then I did, in fact i probably have several more now. Check windows error log, if I remember correctly I got a # error report.

Weird, that's around the same time I began having the problem, along with that problem several of my games stopped working. Have you been using Geforce Experience to update your card frequently/ checking Windows Update frequently?

Katsu may be the answer, I clean my PC monthly but I didn't do it for that particular problem, I may have fixed a loose cable without even realizing at the end of January.

Yep, nothing to with drivers.

I Had the same problem, i changed the power cable to a different one and it stopped. try that and see if it works

Did you change the extension cable or the power brick one?

I have the same problem with my monitor, although i know whats wrong with mine :P

Theres a contactpoint inside the monitor that is not seated properly, so whenever it heats up it starts randomly flickering black, i can also recreate this scenario by just touching the HDMI cable or wiggling my table a bit.

Try the monitor with a different computer to check that its not the graphicscard in your case, if it is the monitor just turn it in for the warranty if you still have one.

Hope i gave you some point of reference, good luck :D.
