No internet access

Every 5 minutes or so i keep getting the little icon in the taskbar saying no internet connection, i am using a wired connection and when this happens i don't loose connection to my teamspeak or steam it just stops my google chrome from working sometimes. For instance i have it now but my chrome is still working... Any ideas on why? thanks

Well then it is a problem with Chrome... try reinstalling? Do you have any weird pluggins?

I don't really have any weird pluggins but i am using ZenMate.

Disable it and see if that fixes the problem. I doubt you are on some NSA watchlist, you'll be fine.

I turned it off and it went after about 5 minutes, i will keep it off and see if it happens again. Thanks.

if disabling zenmate doesnt fix it

 

power cycle your modem/router

 

or you can always try command prompt

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

It's not chrome. Chrome can't affect the windows network icon. It's something to do with the router, network setup. What's your network setup like OP?
