Microcontrollers? Which one do I need?

So I wasn't to sure where to put this so sorry if it's in the wrong place if it is one of the mods please move this thread. So I wanna find a nice micro controller, I'm not really sure which one is for me?

So this is what I wanna use it for:

1. Host a temporary website

2. Run android (Kit Kat)

3. Use it as a testing enviroment? for coding different languages etc.

4. I'd like to be able to connect LED's and switches and setup a pattern.

5. Maybe Possibly very low chance, but maybe I wanna make a cluster or something?

Gaming Rig - Excalibur - CPU: i5 6600k @ 4.1GHz, CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo, Mobo: MSI Gaming M3 RAM: 16GB Corsair @2400MHz, GPU: EVGA 1060, Case: NZXT Phantom Full Tower (Red)

My Virtualization Server - Dell R710: 2x X5570s @ 2.93GHz with 32GB DDR3 RAM [Web Server, OSX, Plex, Reverse Proxy]

I love computers, gaming, coding, and photography! Be sure to quote me so I can respond to your post!

Raspberry Pi is what you want, probably the Compute Module. It runs Linux, (Android uses the Linux kernel) and that's what you want for coding.

The Compute Module is a Raspberry Pi on a SODIMM designed for cluster (with Pis they're called Brambles) and massive compute usage. The kit I linked includes a GPIO breakout board for your LEDs. It should be powerful enough for a self hosted website, hopefully not public or front facing though, you could run into accidental DoS issues quickly.

Could you link me to which ones I need to buy? Preferrably a US amazon link? I'm not rally sure which ones I need?

The second link should have a Buy Now button.

It's not available on Amazon, element14 is a really good hobbyist distributor though.

There appears to be a bit of a lead time, and it's more expensive than I realized. The standard Pi would probably be better for you.

That's a highly rated starter kit that includes an SD card, case, LEDs, switches, GPIO breakout, etc to get you started.
