Doesn't really answer OP's question. All this is is a Naga Molten

To OP, can it be done? It is possible. I presume you would need a soldering iron, lead-free solder, red LEDs and something to hold the PCB while working on it.

This overclock.net thread shows the results and proves it possible, but has no instructions what-so-ever. By the way, if you do it please make a tutorial. I want to buy the mouse and change LEDs in the future as well. I wonder if somehow RGB LEDs could be done.

Well, maybe he didn't know about the molten and wanted a red one instead of blue or green?

Well I don't know much about the Naga but it is possible to open up the Deathadder, put a red LED ontop of the existing LEDs and close the mouse. If the Naga and the Deathadder are built the same way (which they might not be) then you can change the LEDs.

All the parts are here, just need to get customized cords to connect the motherboard to the front panel.

Instructions from overclock.net thread mentioned earlier

"open mouse

look for leds which are similar to the ones inside the mouse(bought mine at a cellphone shop which offers backlight repair)

*(take note of positive and negative positions for all of the leds)**

remove old leds with soldering iron or exacto knife

solder new leds

place everything back together"

Can you mod it? No shit, it's just LEDs people.

If you aren't brave enough to open the mouse and find out for yourself, you certainly aren't brave enough to do it.

I would be very careful, these LEDs will be small and you will need a good soldering iron.

I have modded Xbox 360 controllers before and the contacts for the LEDs for the centre ring (which I assume are a very similar size)

would be too small for someone to do with a normal iron, you would need a fine tip and extensive skill as there may be components

that are damaged by heat in a compact space.

I don't think RGB LEDs would be possible without a big change in the circuit, they have more contacts so it wouldn't be a direct swap.
