Dualshock 4 PC Tool

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Until Windows offers native support for the DS4, you will always have to run other software for your DS4 to be recognized. If you don't want to run a prog everytime you connect the controller, buy a xb1/360 controller.

bs. The DS4 already works natively with Windows. The "problem" is that it is a direct input device and that most games just support Xinput.

What is the best Dualshock 4 PC Tool out there, i heard that ds4 tool is the best but i prefer something tht i dont have to run every time i connect my controller

IIRC DS4 tool has an option that allows you to run it automatically on startup. You can also run it minimized so you don't even have to worry about it.

I've only tried ds4tool and electrobrains ds4windows fork of it, and the latter seems better to me. While you can still alt+tab even when its minimized it doesn't just disappear and need to be restarted. It seems you don't need to close steam and similar programs for ds4windows to hide the wireless controller device. Maybe not much help, but I'm only aware of the few branches of inhexsters ds4tool. It does what I need it to, so I haven't bothered searching for anything else.

It already does, the issue is that its DS4 is a direct input controller not xinput.
