It's good, if you can grab a 4690K + Z97 mono at Micro center you can actually save a few buck for R9 290X

Why would you get a 290X?

Better performance but at a cost of being hotter than GTX780

Nvidia SLI requires the same card versions right? because if that's not true I can have a 780 and 880 lol if it is true I can sell my 780 for an 880.
