I'm thinking of waiting for 800 series but tell me about anything else you think I should replace. I'm going for a red and black theme besides the mouse because us left handers don't get enough love.

Build is solid. The thing about Maxwell is that if it doesn't come out in the next ~4 months you've still got a great card for 1080p. If it does.. well you've still got a great card to wait for at least Maxwell revision chips.

It's good, if you can grab a 4690K + Z97 mono at Micro center you can actually save a few buck for R9 290X

Nvidia SLI requires the same card versions right? because if that's not true I can have a 780 and 880 lol if it is true I can sell my 780 for an 880.

No, but I can buy it now and when the revisions come a couple of years I can get an 880. So, does Nvidia or AMD have different cards or the same type of cards you can combine?
