You could just use an emulator like Daemon Tools Lite. http://www.daemon-tools.cc/products/dtLite

Can't you just right click it and 'Run'?

It seems like you might have a bad iso.

DO NOT USE A NEW VERSION OF DAEMON TOOLS. It has malicous software. Shame, good program.

Go to oldversion.com and get the an earlier daemon tools lite, like 4.11

Here's how to make a bootable USB with the iso.

Run command prompt as admin.

Then

diskpartlist disk

look at the sizes and note the one that is your flash drive

select disk [number of your flash drive]cleancreate partition primary select part 1 activeformat fs=ntfs quickassignexit

use Daemon tools to mount the iso. Not ethe drive letter. I'll call it X in my example. Also note the flash drive's new letter. I'll call my example Y

Back to command prompt

X: cd bootcd bootbootsect.exe /nt60 Y:

Now open the mounted iso and copy the contents to the flash drive

Done!

You can use this for storage too as long as you don't delete files. If you wish to delete files, you can make a windows installer again simply by copying the cd/iso contents to it from any version of windows, vista and up.
