Hi, I have had my GTX 780 SC overclocked to +60 core clock and about +300 memory clock for a few months now and I just today left a game running while paused for about an hour and a half while gone somewhere and when I started it again the driver crashed pretty quickly. I can't seem to get an overclock that isn't just prolonging a driver crash. Could a memory clock cause instability? Or do I need to just go down to +40-50?

The rule of thumb is that if your "Core" is unstable your driver crashes. If your VRAM is unstable then your whole computer should crash.

So with my card how much should I be able to overclock while being stable? I have only been able to go to around 55-60 core clock anything above that crashes the driver.

As far as you can push it. Look up overclocking guides on youtubes and ze internets. Also remember that increasing the core voltage can increase stability.

+60 isn't really that heavy of a core overclock, it's probably your memory; drop it down to +280

Make sure you have +63 mV enabled on the voltage too.

I have tried +100 with voltage at +63 and +0 memory and it still crashes. I have had crashes even at +70

Also can a low end PSU cause driver crashes?

what PSU you have?

you should be fine with a 500 watt PSU

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
