Just installed new CPU.

I bought and installed an Asus z97 sabertooth mark2 and 4690k. When I boot up windows is trying to restore itself.... ? (This is my first time upgrading CPU) Do I have to reinstall windows again with

the disc?

I think windows it tied to the motherboard... Maybe just the key? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That's correct.

Probably. It can changes from board to board, but a change in chipset is more likely to require a reinstall. 

 

It's worth letting it try to repair itself, just to see if it works.

I did and when it started up the same menu came up again. and then it cycled.

You'll have to reinstall windows in that case. Not 100& sure if you have to use the disk though.

You could try cloning the disk.
