Which colorspaces is better?

Go to solution Solved by Sauron,

I'm not sure if yuv24 is better than h264's max or not, however the difference between yuv24 and rgb is very hard to notice unless you have an epic monitor and a keen eye, so I wouldn't worry.

(Sorry if I wrote to the wrong forum, but this was the closest to the theme)

So lets say I'm capturing a game in near lossless compression to an SSD. The file after that going to be edited and rendered to H264 which is using YUV12 i think. I dont know much about theese "YUV" colorspaces, but I know RGB is true lossless, YUV is almost lossless and s on.

So my capture software can capture in RGB or YUV24 which is definitely going to be compressed into H264's colorspace. So YUV24 is better than H264's colorspace or it stores less information?
