Hey everyone,

Just put my build together! I've been running of the integrated graphics for a while now since I was waiting for my graphics card to arrive and today she's finally here!!1

I opened up my case, got her in there, connected the cables and..... things are working?

The thing is when I boot up the PC it appears to turn the fans, LEDs and stuff on like usual but then it shuts everything down and powers up again. By the second time powering up it seems to boot up fine.

Any clue on what is happening?

Thanks

Build:

ASUS Maximus VII Hero

Intel i7 4790K

8Gb of HyperX Beast RAM (2 sticks)

and the card that just arrived, Asus GTX780 DirectCU II OC 3GDDR5

Sorry for hijacking your thread.

I have exactly the same issue! Can't say I'm glad to see you having the same issue but I do feel a bit relieved.

Looking at your PC specs, the similarities we both have are the motherboard and CPU water cooler. I'm beginning to suspect the mobo.

Here's my spec:

CPU: i7 4770K
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VII Hero
RAM: 3 x 4GB Kingston Hyper-X DDR3-1333
HDD: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 256GB
HDD#2: Western Digital 1TB
GPU: ASUS GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2GB SLI
Chasis: Corsair Obsidian 900D
PSU: Seasonic Platinum P1000

Have you found a solution yet?

Try clearing your CMOS

I tried that too but to no avail.

i have also tried:

  1. Removed all the RAM modules. Insert just one stick and try cold start. Rinse & Repeat.
  2. Removed all the RAM modules and try cold start.
  3. Removed all the RAM modules and one GPU.
  4. Removed all RAM modules and all GPU.
It still behave the same when I tried all the above. Funny thing is it still happens when I removed all the RAM modules and both GPUs.
