That case and PSU combo is terrible.

Tell her the reason it's cheap is because the PSU is horrible.

I have a few spare psu's for when it takes a crap. We cant do any more money. It is either that or we compromise the i5 or ssd. She has said no to both.

Can't you just use a spare PSU then?

Motherboard: MSI H81M-E33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($44.99 @ Micro Center)
Case: Thermaltake Commander MS-I ID ATX Mid Tower Case  ($19.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $359.95
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Also, do you live buy a Microcenter? Can't you grab something for cheap? I don't know what the real-world performance gaps are for her kind of work between Haswell and Ivy Bridge.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3470S 2.9GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($159.99 @ Micro Center)
Motherboard: Biostar B75MU3B Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard  ($49.79 @ Newegg)
Case: Thermaltake Commander MS-I ID ATX Mid Tower Case  ($19.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $349.75

Not yet, in servers

Put the spare PSU in right away...otherwise, you'll probably be replacing the rest of the computer when the PSU fails and scorches half the other parts in the build.

Look above.

They show up for me as almost $400 for where I can buy. Off the shelf is no go for her. Sh is picky.

She is picky about having the worst PSU in the history of PSU's?

This doesn't make sense to me.

About me building it, The case, the i5, and the ssd. Also a FIRM $350. I have to pay anything extra and I can't afford that.

What the hell? Er... No rebates? That's the only thing that would make sense for me besides the Microcenter override.

Yep, no rebates. I don't like 'em either, but some are okay with them.

Not to be rude or anything, but why ask for our help if you don't want to change anything that you've listed?

I do. She doesn't. I want her to give me $50 or $100 more to get better parts. I am putting you guys in between a rock and a hard spot. I really appreciate the help. Thanks for trying. :)
