Right now I have a single gtx 770. I am planing in the next month to make the switch to intel and getting another 770. I am very cautious buying parts this time because I want them to last for as long as they can. Right now I am thinking about upgrading to the i7 4770k, the asus vi formula mobo, and the corsair ax 860i. I know this is going to be a very good setup but then I think if I wanted to add a 3rd 770 way later, i would have to buy a whole new mobo and psu. I know using the word "future-proof" is kind of a bad term to use, but how long would 2 770 be able to run games at max settings? Also later down the road when I have 2 770s and looking for an upgrade, would it be better to get a 3rd 770 or start over with a new card? Thanks to any feedback I get!

I mainly game on a 1080p monitor @ 60hz. I may switch to a g-sync or a 1440p @ 144hz latter on
