So i just put together, what i think is a pretty solid build and i think it will be able to play games coming out in the next few years on ultra settings, but i want to know everyone else's opinions on this build, thank you for your input.

All of those games, are already out, and you can play them on ultra with this build. And there is no such thing as future proofing. But most of the games that come out next year you'll be able to play on high/ultra with that build.

Since no one else is really answering your question pertaining future proofing, I'll give some input.

Technology is advancing so quickly that there's no way to prepare for the future, you can buy more higher end hardware to prepare for a few game releases, but how long will that hardware maintain the pace that technology is increasing at.

Your build is fine, but for the future there's no way to tell if it can run everything on ultra + msaa 4x.

It depends on how people define "future-proof"

Say I have a G3220 + GT740 and I will say its future-proof for gaming if I play AAA games

My current rig for entertainment/gaming: i5 4570 3,2GHz; MSI B85M-E45; ZOTAC GTX760 AMP!; 8GB (2x4GB) by Kingston; Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm; Corsair 200R, Corsair VS650; Dell U2312HM, Samsung DVD R/W optical drive; CM Devastator; Corsair MM400 gaming pad
