Hey i was thinking about upgrading the RAM in my system to 32gb from 8gb. I currently have 2133MHz G-Skill modules (4gb x 2), but would it matter if i went to 1600MHz (8gb x 4)?

Yep, going with 32 gbs of 1600 Mhz is a good idea, you will see a massive speed increase because of the amount of Ram, not the speed of the RAM.

Real world differences between 1600/2133 is not noticable.

When choosing RAM - you want to prioritize on timings rather than speed.

1866 CL10 RAM

is slower than

1600 CL9 RAM

Unless you need really fast RAM for whatever you are doing, I'll rather you spend those money to upgrade GPU or CPU for more tangible performance.

I've got a 2600k and a GTX670 thats good for editing cause of CUDA all i need is more ram

More RAM will definitely speed up the rendering and editing process but you don't really need 32 GB.

Try something like 16GB and if you feel that it's still not fast enough, bump it to 32. Besides it's cheaper that way as well.
