Comfortable and Quality Headset

Go to solution Solved by ShearMe,

Kingston HyperX Cloud is a quality set. It'll last longer than any of the other gaming-branded headsets.

I'm planning to construct my own gaming rig, and for peripherals I have reached the topic of audio. I've already established that sound cards are pretty much worthless with onboard audio, and that with my surroundings a speaker system or earphones are out of the question.

I need an attached microphone with good sound quality and kicks out the background noise. Comfortable wear for my, as I tell myself, medium sized head, for use for longs periods of a time. Speaking of long periods of time, they need to last for a long time. I don't want to go out and buy another set six months later.

I've looked at the RAZER Kraken series, the Pro, Neons, 7.1, etc.

I've heard that 7.1 headsets aren't the best, but I still find myself leaning towards the Kraken 7.1s regardless (anything'd be better then what I'm using now really though).

I've also looked at some of Corsair's stuff, but haven't gotten any farther then the pure look.

Anybody any suggestions? Or comments on the RAZER Kraken 7.1s?
