Try to validate files (right click in Steam > properties > local files tab > verify integrity of game cache), and if that doesn't work, go to your install directory, right click the launcher, go to properties, compatibility tab, and check "Run this program as an administrator".

i think i may have jus figured it out using uplay in game ...... unlock high tides dlc/download dlc/sent me to far cry webpage and now install...... :/ confusing as hell im sure i already installed it through steam when i bought the bloody game. thanks for the help anyway bro :)

how do i do that bro ? 

 

go to the file location of the game and right click it. from that menu you should see an option for compatibility mode. I only bring it up because it has worked for me even with newer games. Good luck.

cheers buddy im not seeing any option for compatibility settings though i swear my pc hates me sometimes !!!!!!!!!!
