I have been having some problems with my IP address not changing as Comcast says it is setup too. I view my modem's settings and is state's DHCP is infact enabled, but when I view my ipconfig in my cmd, it reads as, Disabled.

 

I will screenshot a example, if you didn't understand the above text.

 

 

This is where Comcast states, DHCP is enabled.

This is where I view it in my command prompt and it states that it is disabled....

The entry that you see in command prompt under ipconfig/all would be for your local network adapter, it may be set up with a static ip address, this should not be confused with the wan interface on your modem/router, which can be assigned addresses via DHCP from your ISP without your LAN address changing.
