What (silent) PSUs should I buy for these 2 PC?

maxnino

Hi everyone,

I need to buy two new power supply for my two computers.

My goal is silence.

I also need  semi-modular at least.

The first rig has an Intel i5 2500 , 2 case fans , Nvidia 560 TI , 2 hdd , 1 Dvd drive.

The second has an Intel i7 2700K overclocked to 4,2 ghz, 5 case fans ,  an Nvidia 770 , 4 hdd.

Both have a Fractal Desing R4 , windowless panel.

Both have noisy overkill psu (650w the first and 1000w the second).

I can't estimate the REAL wattage I need,.

Thank You for all of your help!

you can run them both on 650W, and RM series are supposed to be quiet but i would recommend Be quiet due to their fans being more quiet, but a cheaper way would be for you to just replace the fans in those PSU's

Be quiet! PSUs are kinda disgusting. Even the 200€ +PSU's have rainbows as cabels.

i guess you have to make a flower power build :P but yea ok.. thats bad.. just replace the fans then :P (i really should replace the fan in mine but at the same time my PSU is nearing 5 years old.. unless its passed that now.. :S

Have you replaced a psu fan yet?

They already suggested me,

And I searched for tips on threads,

But I don't have what it takes to "experiment" with it yet.

Its better if i just buy  a new psu.

idk which one...

A decent 450w would be plenty for the first and 500w for the second.
