I don't think this can achieve significant overclocks because of having not so many power phases.

I would find a little bit more money for the GA-Z77-UD3H. Or I would wait for the Z87-UD3H.

It is a 4 phase with decent MOSFETs. If you can achieve a 5GHz overclock on an Asrock extreme4, you could do it on this if it had voltage control.

Thanks for the info! :) Never knew that the extreme4 had 4 phases and could achieve a 5ghz overclock.

For some reason I've seen it listed as 8 phases, even though it's 4 phases with 8 high side MOSFETs in dual output. It also has pathetic quality MOSFETs. 

 

I've heard of guys getting past 5GHz with an MSI GD45, which is a straight up 4 phase PWM with terrible MOSFETs.
