Benchmarking your PC

hi

i have build up a new PC but before i get excited about it, i want to benchmark it and see whether it is a good grade PC or not. But i m not sure about which Benchmarking tool is the perfect for it. I got list of dozens of Benchmarking softwares but i don't want to spend my money on crappy stuff. Can someone recommend a benchmarking software which is really worth spending money on

I have the 3DMARK steam programware. Its nice to benchmark your system, i used it too see how much FPS improvment i got from overclocking my system.

For benchmarking or checking your Harddrive speed i use Crystaldiskmark.

3DMARK may not be worth it in some cases, but i bought it 50% off on the summersale ^^,

For GPU testing I use either Heaven or Valley, they will always stress the card out.

For CPU testing I use AIDA 64 although it won't give you a score or anything it will test it for stability.

OCCT is also a good program for testing your ENTIRE system plus its free.

For the CPU, use Cinebench.

3DMark06 is one to check out also. Another "oldschool" one is Super Pi Mod 1M test.
