Intel G3258 Resolution Support

Go to solution Solved by Izaya Orihara,

2560x1600p. Also I recommend you to cheap out and get the Celron G1820. 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor family (Intel® HD Graphics 4000 / 2500) (While it's a 4th gen CPU it uses a 3rd gen iGPU)

I've had quite a lot of trouble trying to track down just what resolutions the HD Graphics on the Pentium G3258 will support. Since this is for a build that does nothing but office work and watch videos (on a budget this time) I thought this would be a perfect chip, but what I'm not sure about is if it can reliably drive 2 2560x1440p monitors at 60 Hz. I know any of the Haswell Core processors could do this easily as HD Graphics 4600 is specced for it to handle 4K at 60Hz when not gaming, but I can't find the Pentium HD Graphics specs.

Anyone?

If it is only office and no overclok, you should buy the G3220.

Same problem. I've no clue what resolutions the HD Graphics in these chips support.

I'm sure this person would very much appreciate getting something which performs so poorly it was antiquated 2 years prior already.

Sorry to be snarky, but really? As per 1600p, could you provide a source by any chance to verify?

What? It's a third of the price here and 10% less performing. I have them both here. Also that thing I pasted there is from the Intel site.
