Hello, I recently bought parts for and built a gaming PC. I bought an EVGA Geforce GTX760 graphics card and for the past week my computer has been working fine. But today my computer crashed and after restarting it, my monitor wouldn't receive any signal. To ensure that it wasn't the monitor or the cord I plugged the monitor into my motherboard and I receive a signal. After further inspection I found out that my computer doesn't even sense that the graphics card is a part of it. I took the card out and put it back in, making sure that it was put in securely and correctly. i have no idea what the problem is. The card is getting power, as I have plugged in all power ports for it, and I have not overclocked it, so if anyone could help me and tell me what the problem is i would greatly appreciate it.

Computer specs:

GeForce GTX 760 Graphics card

Asrock B85 motherboard

Cosair CX600 power supply

8 GB Ram

1 TB Hard drive

(And incase it matters, my computer is running Windows 8)

You have all the power connectors connected to the gpu correct? And what type of cable are you using to connect the monitor to the gpu?

Yes all power connectors are connected to the GPU and I am using a VGA cord since my monitor does not have HDMI

Hmmmmm. If your computer worked fine before today and you haven't touched it... Actually its entirely possible its your psu (I think), I have the same exact psu as you and the first time I bought it after my computer ran for 20ish minutes the computer blue screen and it wouldn't boot. But I don't think it was powering anything after that. So if you have a friend who has a discrete gpu I would try using theirs in your pc first... If not you should RMA the 760.

Actually try resetting the BIOS to factory default first then see if it works by any chance.

Can you try the gpu in an another machine, just to see if it works there?
Because that would eliminate a faulty gpu.

@sloop, pretty sure having a video in your sig is against the rules seeing as it's not supposed to be over 4 lines long.

Pretty annoying on mobile device.

Well ill change it but you didn't have to call me out on a question. Just PM me or something if you're that bothered by it.

Give your meat a good old rub
