I just wanted to do a quick Prime95 test on my new i7-4790k, and both times I ran a small FFT test, the system shut off. Is this an issue with Haswell or is my chip messed up?

Edit: I think its an issue with CPUZ and Prime95, because I was running Prime95 for a few seconds, then I opened CPUZ, and the system crashed. (It's not getting the BSOD. Its just restarting)

Edit 2: Never mind, I must have just run the wrong test once.

If it's overclocked, your overclock is probably still unstable.

There's no such thing as the wrong test. If it's doing this on any of the tests you have problems. If your temps are good when it shuts down I would be looking at the PSU.

What I meant by wrong test is that it was instantly shutting down on SmallFFT but it took a second when running the blend test. As for the issue, I think it had something to do with the voltage. For some reason, my motherboard automatically set the voltage at 1.397 volts. I went into the BIOS and lowered it to a reasonable level and I think it's working now. (Only able to test it for a bit, but it lasted longer than before)
