Complete Desk Change Over

Basically I have a small room and have grown up in here to where my gaming experience is being capped now due to space around me. The real problem is that I have a custom built multi-purpose wardrobe has my desk attached. 

 

Its a good layout but I like the idea of an open desk and maybe a corner one that's dark wood and glass black. Only problem is I am not too sure on how I would get an image put together in my room- I mean use a real image ive took of my desk and then Photoshop it out maybe and add a desk in to see what it looks like?

 

I could post images if anyone wants to have a go but would prefer to do it myself, any programs that this would be easy to do it on, thanks! :P

You're going to have to be somewhat proficient in Photoshop, GIMP, or some other photo manipulation program to do so. I don't think there's an easy button for this.

Hmm I thought it wasnt going to be an easy task! Oh well, Photoshop it will have to be then! :D

Sketchup is brilliant for planning room layouts, Some people even use it to design their computers and custom cases.

Not as far as I know, but I am new to it myself.
