why the lack of faith?

I don't have any faith in the DayZ devs anymore. I was an avid watcher of streams, and would frequently check the changelogs. Now I'm just bored with the slow development, and got really pissed off by the devs continuously breaking stuff and taking months to fix it. The zombie respawning crap should have been rolled back immediately. I stopped playing weeks after it was sent to Stable and it was still broken when I stopped.

FFS It's Stable for a reason devs. Stop breaking shit. Test it before you move it from experimental. That's the whole goddamn point of separate Stable and Experimental branches.

Yea same, they've made there money and now they're sitting comfortably, being updates extremely slow and making constant promises, I highly doubt that game will ever reach 'Full Release'.

I think they're the least likely to pull that old scam. We'll have to wait and see. If they do, it will be the perfect example of why you shouldn't preorder or support early access games. If you can't trust Rocket and the DayZ dev team, you can't trust any of them.

But that's dayz devs, this is h1z1. They devs are experienced and thats one of the issues that they discussed on. They want the add alot of new things but they are taking it slow about adding new ideas because they don't wanna rapidly get things tangled with other things. But that doesn't mean developedment overall will be slow. Just means new ideas have more caution.

And the DayZ devs are the experienced dudes from Bohemia.

Im not saying I dont trust them, im saying the games had its time, its shine and they keep making lots of promises without really delivering. I mean it took 2 years longer than the original release date for the standalone to launch...

True and the thing with dayz is its free to play at full release.

The problem is it may not reach full release. The scam being done by some 'developers' is that they make some crap up and make it look impressive, make their money, and then stop. The DayZ devs have made their millions. What do they get by spending a whole lot more time and effort into making the game. Most people won't be buying it again. They can just stop and do something else.

That's the fear.

Hence 'Rocket' announcing that he wants to leave the team to start a studio at the end of the year...

Its full release will be free to play. You dont have to contribute at all, but if you doo its only 20 dollars.  Plus dayz was a mod. The devs were just screwing around and then it got serious. Sony studios are behind making h1z1.

Have you even looked into h1z1? The scale will be much bigger than dayz.

I need to see a whole lot more to really decide to be honest with you, at the moment it looks VERY dated graphically, and although its not all about the graphics, but damn they suck :/ But also, is it just going to be another DayZ rip, joining the many out there....

so you have watched the e3 demo footage? Because if you look at the group texture with the moonlight and the relection quality its really good. But you cant really judge the graphics on a game when its on a video online. Because youtube condenses and distorts the quality. All i can say is that i believe its gona look better than dayz. Thats if you wana compare the games. Are a fan of the game tho ?
