Go to solution Solved by TheSLSAMG,

It uses an HDMI passthrough, so you plug the cable box/Chromecast into it, and plug the bar into the television's HDMI port. Or, you can use an optical audio cable from the bar to your cable box.

Pages 12 and 13 contain relevant information. http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201303/20130304123559265/02644D-00_F450_ZA_130227_New_Remocon.pdf

I Have the following...

TV: Samsung UN60EH6003FXZC

with...

  • HDMI 1: Cable Box (Rogers Explorer 4642HD)
  • HDMI 2: Chromecast

What I want to do is add a sound bar in the future, but have no idea how to plug it in.

(I Have in mind I want the Samsung HW-F450/ZC)

Output of the tv (only has outputs on the back)

Both the hdmi are used, so I tried testing it with my logitech z600 speakers with this cable

When I plugged it in, I went to the tv settings to change the sound output to the speakers but found nothing... (I assume it doesn't work, or I can't find the setting)
So I am wondering if I do get a sound bar, how would I plug it in?

Does the sound bar itself have av/sound plug's? If it does I would recommend using them not an adapter.

I think you might have found my solution! but gotta wait until I get it :l (also i tried plugging in the speakers to the cable box, sound does go through but just only on the cable box, not the chromecast)

Yep, the only way it will work on Chromecast is with HDMI passthrough.
